As you can see on this page, I am growing and learning new techniques. I have found bending and wrapping wire is very time consuming and it takes hours of practice and patience. Even when I have become fairly proficient in a certain technique, it still takes a long time to finish a piece. After the piece is made, I then artificially age it in a liver-of-sulfur solution, let it dry overnight, then I HAND clean every bend and crevice with steel wool. This allows me to control the amount of aging or blackening. After the piece has been cleaned, it then goes to a rotary tumbler filled with steel shot and it is tumbled for about 30 minutes. The result is a gorgeous piece of jewelry.
