Bumble bee jasper or calcite is one of my very favorite stones. This particular stone is in a tear-drop shape. I was aiming for a flower shape on the back plate, but it resembles a pineapple. The stone is bezel set with fine silver. I added sterling silver accents of wire and flattened balls. On the back of the pendant, I added a stamped flower.
The pendant hangs from a hand-forged wire. I added hand-formed chain links and my signature clasp. The clasp fastens on the front of the necklace, making it easier to fasten. The necklace measures approximately 19″ long. I can shorten or lengthen it if you desire.
This piece is one of my favorites and special to me. I have started to realize they are all special to me and hard to part with.
