Copper and Gold Leaf Resin Necklace

I made a series of this type of necklace and they were a great way to practice soldering on copper and using resin. This is a copper disc with a copper wire bezel. Inside the bezel I placed 24kt gold leaf and poured resin over it. The copper disc was textured and then oxidized, hand cleaned and tumbled in a rotary tumbler. I used a rubber cord to hang it on and the cord measures 18″ long. The copper disc is 1 1/2″ in diameter.
