Deer Pendant

This is a brass etched pendant of a Native American deer. It is soldered to a sterling silver back plate. All metal work is by me. The bail on the back will accommodate a variety of chains or cord. Some of the pictures look as though the deer is of copper, but it is brass. Brass is a metal with copper and zinc alloys, and when it is heated to soldering temperature the copper comes to the surface. It is difficult to get the brass color back, but I assure you, it does have a golden hue.
